High Profile Addition to Education Works

Education Works would like to announce the appointment of Tony McKimmie as the new CEO of Education Works, taking effect from 5th May. Tony will be based in Melbourne and takes over from Paul Riley, the acting CEO of Education Works.
Education Works would like to announce the appointment of Tony McKimmie as the new CEO of Education Works, taking effect from 5th May. Tony will be based in Melbourne and takes over from Paul Riley, the acting CEO of Education Works.
Tony Mckimmie has worked with Lonely Planet for the last nine years, most recently as former Australian General Manager, and Global Sales and Marketing Manager for Lonely Planet Publications; and prior to that as CEO of Lonely Planet UK. Tony brings with him years of professional experience within the publishing industry, and is greatly looking forward to the opportunity to work within the education space.
Joining Education Works as it continues to grow to meet the educational resource needs of the Australian market, Tony comments “This is my first week in the business and I have already been struck by the commitment and quality of the people within the organisation, I look forward to the many challenges and opportunities that lie ahead, working to further strengthen and drive the strategic direction and dedication of Education Works both now and into the future.”
Paul Riley interim CEO adds, “I have enjoyed my time as acting CEO and look forward to working closely with Tony over the coming months. Tony’s skills, experience and strong work ethic will certainly help drive the Education Works business forward both now and in the future, and would like to thank the support and dedication of the management teams and staff alike within all of the businesses and look forward to another successful school year ahead”.
Further announcements this week include the appointment and commencement of Daniel Rohr, as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for Wooldridges. Daniel commenced his appointment on Monday 4th May, bringing with him comprehensive commercial experience gained from several senior finance and operational roles and will work across the business and drive business improvement in all areas. Further changes in financial personnel include the departure of Paul Smith as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for Education Works, effective 1st May.
Further announcements will follow as Education Works continues to develop to meet the growing needs of the education sector and wider community.
